Speech Language Pathologist in Moriarty, NM
Step into a key role supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract assignment for the upcoming academic year. In this position, you’ll manage a caseload of 35+ students, evaluating and addressing a range of speech and language challenges. Your expertise will be critical in developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborating with dedicated educational teams and families, and ensuring all services are in full compliance with current federal, state, and district guidelines. This assignment begins August 4, 2026, and continues through May 28, 2027, with a stable weekly schedule of 37.5 hours.
Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current CCC-SLP certification
- Active New Mexico PED license (must submit copy with application)
- Prior school-based SLP experience (elementary setting preferred)
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide direct therapy for students with speech and language disorders
- Create and maintain effective, individualized IEPs
- Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families to support academic and social development
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with regulatory requirements
