Pediatric School Speech Therapist | Cottage Grove, Minnesota
Cottage Grove, MN
Provide speech-language services for K-12 students in a school setting located in Cottage Grove, MN. This contract role involves working onsite with general elementary school needs such as language and articulation, supporting approximately 50 students per caseload across various disability areas. Both schools served have center-based programs for children with developmental cognitive disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. The role requires adherence to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) using the SpedForms system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to students from elementary through grade 12
- Manage caseloads of about 50 students each, addressing diverse communication disorders
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within school-based center programs
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with IEP requirements
- Participate in progress monitoring and parent communications as needed
Qualifications:
- MDE Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License required
- Experience working with pediatric populations in educational settings
- Familiarity with developmental cognitive disabilities and autism spectrum disorders
- Skilled in assessment and intervention in language and articulation disorders
- Knowledge of school-based IEP systems, preferably SpedForms
Position Details:
- Two SLP contract positions available
- Position 1: Immediate start through 4/8/2026
- Position 2: 2/1 through 5/1, with potential extension to cover end of school year at one or both sites
- 37.5 hours per week, onsite only
