School Speech Language Pathologist - Arnold, Maryland
An opportunity is available for a licensed and certified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential support in a K-12 school setting in Arnold, MD. This leave replacement contract position will begin approximately February 1st and is expected to last about 12 weeks, with the end date to be determined. The role is full-time, requiring five days per week at 37.5 hours total.
Key responsibilities include delivering speech therapy services primarily outside the general education environment to a diverse caseload of approximately 45-50 students. The age group served is elementary school, focusing on students with disabilities including Other Health Impairments (OHI), Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Language Impairments. The candidate must be able to provide in-person services and adhere to all Maryland certification and licensing requirements for Speech Language Pathologists.
Qualifications:
- Maryland licensure and certification as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Experience working with diverse elementary-aged student populations
- Skilled in addressing speech and language disorders, particularly OHI, learning disabilities, autism, and language impairments
- Ability to manage a large, fluid caseload effectively
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the flexibility to adapt therapy to individualized student needs
- Commitment to providing in-person services; virtual therapy not accepted for this position
Location: Arnold, Maryland (in-person services required)
