School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Destin, Florida

Make a difference in students’ lives as a passionate Speech Language Pathologist on a contract assignment in the beautiful North Florida Panhandle. This in-person, school-based opportunity spans the academic year from August 11, 2026, through June 1, 2027. Work within a supportive educational environment where your expertise will help shape communication and language development for school-aged children. Two dedicated professionals are needed to fill these rewarding roles, which offer full-time hours—up to 37.5 hours weekly. Caseload specifics, including assigned schools and age groups, will be discussed during the interview process.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Active FL DOH Provisional SLP License required
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is highly preferred
- Experience providing a range of speech and language therapy services
- Effective communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions onsite
- Screen, assess, and diagnose communication disorders
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and complete required reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists
- Support students across multiple campuses as required by caseload
- Foster an inclusive and motivating learning environment
