Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Desert Hot Springs, California
Step into a rewarding role serving PreK-5th grade students with a contract opportunity starting as soon as possible and continuing through the end of the school year. This onsite position is located near Desert Hot Springs, CA, and consists of 37.5 hours per week. You’ll join a supportive school setting with a manageable caseload of around 55 students spanning multiple schools.
Key Qualifications:
- Active CA SLP License required
- Experience or interest in working with pediatric populations (PreK–5th)
- Open to SLPs with CCC or CFY credentials
- Prior work in school-based or healthcare SLP settings preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively manage a diverse student caseload
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students, addressing a variety of communication needs
- Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and monitor student progress
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents
- Deliver therapy in both individual and small group settings
- Offer consultation and support for teachers and families regarding speech-language interventions
