School-Based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Job Description
A local school district in the Denver area is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time contract position through Sunbelt Staffing. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse pediatric population in a supportive, collaborative educational environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students improve communication skills and thrive academically and socially.
Responsibilities
- Provide evaluations, assessments, and diagnosis of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Deliver direct therapy services to students with varying needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide progress updates
Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Familiarity with IEP processes and special education compliance
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach
Qualifications
- Active Colorado Speech Language Pathologist license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Eligibility for licensure may be considered for Clinical Fellows (CFY)
- Knowledge of state and federal special education regulations
Education
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
Experience
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- New graduates encouraged to apply
