Speech Therapist in Stevensville, MD
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming academic year, working with a dedicated secondary student population. This full-time assignment offers 35 hours per week and the chance to make a significant impact on students with a variety of needs, including Other Health Impairments (OHI), Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Language Impairment. You’ll collaborate with educational professionals to deliver high-quality speech and language services to a caseload of approximately 45-50 students.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current, active SLP license issued by the state of Maryland
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and evaluations
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Provide evidence-based direct therapy services to students in the secondary age group
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all caseload requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise in speech and language development
