School Speech Language Pathologist - Delmar, MD
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing speech and language services for young learners in a vibrant school setting. This position partners you with another experienced SLP to support a caseload of 40-50 students from PreK3 through third grade, focusing on those with mild to moderate disabilities. Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Current Maryland Department of Health Certification
- Previous experience in K-3/elementary school settings preferred
- Comfortable working with small groups, 1:1, and in health office situations
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate thoughtfully with teachers, parents, and school staff
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students with identified needs
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and adjust goals and approaches accordingly
- Document all services, progress, and recommendations per school guidelines
- Collaborate closely with fellow SLP, teachers, and administrators
- Attend IEP and eligibility meetings as required
- Educate and provide resources to families and staff regarding speech-language development and intervention strategies
This school-based contract runs from August 24, 2026, to June 30, 2027, with a consistent 35-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–3:00 PM. You’ll have structured hours to create balance, and a supportive team environment to enhance your professional growth.
