Speech-Language Pathologist in Daytona Beach, FL
A contract opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized support within a school environment. This role is ideal for professionals with credentials such as SLP, SLP-CCC, or SLP-School licenses who are ready to contribute their expertise to support students' communication development.
Location:
- Based in Daytona Beach, FL
- Assignment primarily at Silver Sands Middle School in Port Orange, FL, four days per week
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, diagnose speech and language disorders, and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Provide direct speech therapy services to students as outlined in individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and federal regulations related to special education services
Qualifications:
- Valid Florida Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Experience working within a school setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology best practices and relevant educational regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and multidisciplinary teams

- Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
