Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active Georgia SLP license or GaPSC certification (one required to start, both needed eventually)
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but Clinical Fellowship candidates and SLAs with GaPSC certification are welcome
- Recent experience (internship or employment) supporting a K-12 population in schools
- Detailed and organized with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Committed to providing direct therapy services and managing required documentation
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech, language, and communication assessments and therapy to students on-site
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborating with classroom teachers and other service providers
- Maintain thorough records and progress notes in compliance with school and district policies
- Participate in IEP meetings, share insights during case conferences, and update families on student progress
- Consult with teaching staff to support carryover of strategies in the classroom
