Key qualifications and experience:
- Valid Michigan licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Previous experience in K-12 school settings strongly preferred
- Committed to onsite work throughout the duration of the contract (no virtual/remote services)
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to tailor interventions and assessments to diverse student populations
- Dedicated to maintaining accurate records and meeting compliance standards
Primary responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students in grades K-12
- Assess, diagnose, and develop personalized treatment plans addressing communication disorders
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and student progress reviews
- Maintain thorough documentation and ensure timely reporting for compliance
- Support a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students
