Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Dearborn, Michigan

Provide specialized speech-language pathology services for elementary students in a contracted clinical school year position based in Dearborn, MI. This role supports a diverse caseload of 24 K-8 students, including those with speech disorders, specific learning disabilities, and autism spectrum disorder. The position requires delivering therapy approximately 21 hours per week across three days, focusing on individualized care to enhance students’ communication skills and academic progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language evaluations and create tailored treatment plans for a caseload of 10 speech-only and 14 special education students
- Implement evidence-based therapy targeting various communication disorders, including articulation, language delays, and social communication deficits
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to monitor student progress and support educational goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all state regulations and school policies
- Participate in meetings and provide consultative services as needed to support student success
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Michigan SLP license (CCC-SLP preferred)
- Experience working with pediatric populations in educational and healthcare settings
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, especially within school-age children
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
- Familiarity with IDEA guidelines and special education procedures
