School Speech Language Pathologist - Mcdonough, GA
Step into a valued position supporting students' communication growth in a collaborative, school-based setting. This full-time contract opportunity for a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellow) offers the chance to make a meaningful difference from late July through late May. With a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week onsite, you'll deliver crucial speech and language services alongside a dedicated team of educators and specialists, helping children realize their full potential.
Desired Qualifications:
- Holds an active Georgia SLP License or GaPSC Certificate (one of these is required, though eventually both will be needed)
- Open to Speech-Language Associates (SLAs) with valid GaPSC credential (SLPAs will not be considered)
- SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellow status required
- Previous experience in school settings highly preferred
- Strong assessment, intervention, and counseling skills for a diverse student population
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy in accordance with assigned caseload (specifics to be provided)
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with local and state regulations
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and team discussions as needed
