Make an impact by providing critical speech and language services to students ranging from preschool through 8th grade. This contract opportunity involves working with a diverse caseload of up to 55 students with varying needs—from speech impairments to more complex disabilities such as autism and intellectual disabilities. You'll support multiple sites, bringing specialized expertise and compassion to 3-4 different school communities each week.
What you bring:
- Valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Experience supporting students in educational settings
- Comfort serving a wide age range, from preschool (age 3) up to 8th grade
- Familiarity with supporting students with speech disabilities as well as those with severe needs, including autism and intellectual disabilities
- Flexibility and strong organizational skills for itinerant work across several sites
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, teachers, support staff, and families
- CTC (California Teaching Credential) preferred
Role responsibilities:
- Manage an assigned caseload of up to 55 students
- Deliver individualized and group speech/language therapy in accordance with IEPs
- Complete evaluations, documentation, and progress reports
- Consult with teachers, families, and school-based teams to support student success
- Travel between 3-4 school sites as scheduled
- Provide direct intervention while fostering inclusion and meaningful participation
- Participate in IEP meetings and share progress with stakeholders
