School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Costa Mesa, California
An exciting opportunity awaits a Speech-Language Pathologist seeking a dynamic contract position supporting students in a school setting near Costa Mesa, CA. This role is ideal for experienced SLPs, those holding their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), and candidates completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). Qualifications and Experience:
- Active California SLP license required
- Eligible for or in possession of CCC-SLP; strong CFY candidates encouraged to apply
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric clients is preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP processes and speech/language therapy best practices
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop individual plans of care, and provide direct speech/language therapy services
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ learning and development
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and regulatory standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations
- Deliver both group and individual therapy sessions tailored to student needs
