A unique opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support an elementary school program specializing in serving students with moderate to profound disabilities. This full-time contract position is located on-site in Anaheim, CA, within a large, collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to elementary students participating in the CONNECTIONS program, focusing on individuals using AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices
- Assess, design, and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students’ communication needs
- Demonstrate proficient use and programming of a wide range of AAC devices to support student communication effectively
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including SLPs and SLP assistants to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with educational standards and licensing requirements
Qualifications:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology license and education credentials
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
- Proven expertise in AAC devices, including programming and troubleshooting
- Experience working in elementary school settings, particularly with students who have significant communication challenges
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with educators, families, and clinical teams
Location:
- On-site position at an elementary school program in Anaheim, California, near Long Beach
