Pediatric School-Based SLP | Elgin, South Carolina
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available within a supportive K-12 school district, serving a PreK-5th grade student population across two elementary school locations. This full-time contract position offers a consistent schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in Lexington, SC.
Ideal candidates will hold a current South Carolina SLP license and possess experience working in school settings. Expertise in teletherapy, pediatric healthcare, and holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is highly desirable. This role focuses on delivering speech and language support to young learners in an educational environment, providing comprehensive assessment and intervention services that promote student communication development.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid South Carolina Speech Language Pathology license
- Preferably experience in school-based SLP roles
- Familiarity with teletherapy and pediatric speech-language therapy
- Certification such as the CCC is advantageous
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative school environment
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations for students within PreK-5th grades
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on communication improvement
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and regulatory requirements
- Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings
