School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Columbia, Missouri
Make a difference in the lives of students during the 2026-2027 school year by providing exceptional speech-language pathology support near Columbia, MO. This full-time contract opportunity will have you working 35-37.5 hours per week in a dynamic split placement: spend half your time at a special education preschool and the other half at a local elementary school, delivering vital services to a diverse student population.
You’ll work collaboratively with educational teams to help children overcome communication challenges, foster language development, and facilitate student success in both classroom and individualized settings. Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active CCC-SLP and state licensure (or eligibility) required
- Experience providing SLP services in school settings strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, families, and staff
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload across early childhood and elementary ages
- Commitment to fostering inclusion and supporting individual student needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy and evaluations, both individually and in groups
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and documentation per district/state guidelines
- Offer consultative support and resources to educators and families
- Manage a split caseload between preschool and elementary school sites
