Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in grades K-8, located near the vibrant Colorado Springs area. This full-time role offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, working 37.5 hours per week from 7:15 am to 3:15 pm. You’ll have the chance to work across both elementary and middle school settings, helping students find their voice and achieve their communication goals.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license and certification
- Previous experience with elementary and/or middle school-age children is highly valued
- Ability to effectively manage a diverse K-8 caseload
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to ethical and evidence-based practice in an educational environment
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders within the K-8 student population
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to address students’ unique speech and language needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create optimal learning environments
- Conduct direct and indirect therapy sessions, tracking progress and modifying interventions
- Document all services provided in accordance with school and legal guidelines
- Support and consult with staff to help integrate speech goals within the classroom
