A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support the Extended School Year (ESY) program at a specialized high school setting in Ludlow, MA. This role offers the chance to provide essential services within the Compass High Program, designed to serve students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences through personalized and supportive education aimed at building independence skills.
Location:
- Ludlow, Massachusetts (assignment site)
- Client’s main office located in West Springfield, MA
Schedule and Duration:
- Contract period: July 6, 2026 – August 7, 2026
- Possible extension or consideration for the 2026-2027 school year based on performance
- 15-20 hours per week, typically across 2-3 days
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services primarily to high school students
- Provide AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) services experience required; AAC evaluations are not mandatory
- Work within the specialized educational program focusing on students with ASD and other learning differences
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to tailor interventions that enhance communication and independence
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure and certification for SLP practice
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working in school settings, ideally with high school-aged students
- Prior experience with AAC service is highly beneficial
- Ability to meet all state-specific requirements for educational service providers
