Elementary Speech Therapist in Springfield, MA
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is sought to support an elementary school setting in Springfield, MA. This position offers a contract arrangement throughout the current school year, providing a consistent and engaging role within a single site focused on early childhood development and communication support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to a caseload of approximately 50 students.
- Collaborate closely with a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) present on site.
- Work within the school hours of 8:45 AM to 3:20 PM, totaling 35 hours per week.
- Support a dual language school environment; bilingual skills are beneficial but not mandatory.
- Maintain documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist credentials, including certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
- Experience working in elementary school settings is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills tailored to diverse student populations.
- Ability to manage and prioritize a caseload efficiently.
- Familiarity with dual language program structures is a plus.
