Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Chicago, IL
Step into a contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic educational setting near Chicago, IL. Key Qualifications:
- Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state SLP licensure (or eligibility)
- Pediatric experience preferred; comfort working across elementary and middle school ages
- Familiarity with school IEP systems; training available for district platforms
- Ability to provide teletherapy services (if needed)
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills for working with teachers, staff, and families
- Open to both seasoned SLPs and those pursuing their Clinical Fellowship Year
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve a diverse caseload in a supportive environment—caseload or workload model per district guidelines
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy, both in dedicated therapy spaces and classrooms
- Complete assessments, write and implement IEPs, participate in meetings, and conduct progress monitoring
- Provide consultative support to educators and families on communication strategies
- Engage in paid team meetings and receive indirect/admin time for documentation
- Participate in regular district or departmental training to foster professional development
- Receive supervision if completing CFY; experienced SLPs may provide mentorship
