This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is based in Des Plaines, IL, serving a high school student population through the remainder of the school year. The position offers a structured schedule from 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM, providing comprehensive support to a caseload of 45 students.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough speech and language assessments for high school students
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
  • Monitor and document student performance and adjust interventions as necessary
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
  • Provide consultative support and education regarding communication disorders

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Experience working with school-aged populations, preferably high school students
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech and language therapy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 45 students effectively
  • Flexibility to work full-time hours during school sessions
