Pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist in Chicago, IL

A well-established high school in Chicago, IL, is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their team for the contracted school year (Feb 5 – May 27). This onsite position offers approximately 30 hours per week, from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm with a 1-hour lunch break. The role focuses on providing speech therapy services across a caseload of about 45 students, primarily with monthly therapy minutes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services to a diverse group of students across all disabilities, including Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), Autism, Emotional Disturbance (ED), Speech or Language Impairment (SLI), and Intellectual Disabilities (IntD)
- Manage caseload within a high school setting
- Utilize the Easy IEP system to track student progress and documentation
- Collaborate with educators and staff to support student needs and IEP goals
Qualifications:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP endorsement for the state
- Experience working in schools, ideally with pediatric populations
- Familiarity with SLP teletherapy and healthcare settings is advantageous but not required
- CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) or CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year) completion preferred
