A K-12 school in Chicago, IL is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide specialized services to students across grade levels. This contract position, lasting for the current school year, offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic educational setting to support student communication and language development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services in accordance with school policies and state regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate updates with relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student success planning.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (ASHA CCC-SLP).
- Experience working as an SLP in a school setting, preferably within a K-12 environment.
- Knowledge of K-12 educational systems and ability to tailor interventions to diverse student needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, staff, and families.
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Illinois.
