Speech Pathology - La Porte, IN
This contract opportunity offers an engaging role providing speech-language pathology services in a school setting located in La Porte, IN. This onsite position entails 35 hours per week during the 26-27 school year, working closely with students from ages 2 to 22 with moderate to severe disabilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering individualized speech-language therapy addressing assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and receptive/expressive language delays
- Conducting diagnostic and evaluation assessments as appropriate
- Preparing clear and comprehensive reports based on student assessments and observations
- Developing and maintaining IEP objectives that support student progress
- Collaborating closely with parents, educators, and therapists to monitor developmental growth and identify areas for additional support
Qualifications desired:
- Must hold or be qualified for an Indiana Professional License (IPLA) and a teaching license issued by the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE)
- Preferably 1 to 2 years of experience working as a speech-language pathologist
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to problem-solve flexibly in a dynamic environment
- Comfortable serving a diverse student population with a range of disabilities
