Speech Language Pathologist in Chesterfield, SC
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a contract Speech Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. Working full time, you will deliver speech and language therapy services across a diverse caseload spanning pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade. Responsibilities include conducting screenings and evaluations, developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborating with educators and families, and providing both direct therapy and consultative support as needed. Qualifications/Desired Skills:
- Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (or eligibility to obtain by start date)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in progress
- Experience or interest in working within school settings and with diverse student populations from early childhood through high school
- Strong knowledge of current best practices in assessment, IEP development, and treatment within the school setting
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech/language screenings and comprehensive assessments
- Develop, implement, and document progress on IEP goals
- Deliver therapy to students individually or in groups based on evaluation data
- Provide consultation and support to teachers, support staff, and parents/guardians
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with school, state, and federal guidelines
