Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Tennessee SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Experience delivering speech and language therapy in pediatric and/or elementary school settings is highly valued
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills necessary for daily interactions and teamwork
- Ability to effectively conduct therapy sessions, evaluations, and group interventions for children at various ability levels
- Familiarity with school-based documentation, IEP development, and participation in multidisciplinary team meetings
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy onsite to students in elementary age groups
- Conduct timely and thorough evaluations and re-evaluations to determine eligibility and guide interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student progress
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, team conferences, and ongoing student planning
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Adapt therapy techniques and materials to meet the varying needs of students in a school environment
This role is a full-time, 37.5 hours per week contract assignment, offering meaningful engagement with students and the opportunity to develop professionally within a supportive school setting.
