A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Charlotte, NC, offering a matern ity leave coverage opportunity within a school setting. Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 25 students, including 55 with general speech needs.
- Provide therapy for 10 AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) device users.
- Collaborate with two self-contained classrooms, delivering tailored support.
- Conduct mostly group sessions of 2-4 students, fostering effective communication skills.
- Co-treat with the Lead Occupational Therapist to enhance interdisciplinary care.
- Serve 17 speech-only students, focusing on targeted speech-language interventions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy goals.
- Participate in school team meetings and collaborate with educators and families.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid SLP credentials, including CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence).
- Experience working in schools with a diverse student population.
- Proficiency in AAC device usage and tailored communication strategies.
- Ability to work effectively in both individual and group therapy settings.
- Strong collaboration skills to work alongside occupational therapists and teaching staff.
- Commitment to student-centered care and educational outcomes.
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (Travel position within local school district)
