Pediatric SLP in Charlotte, NC
This contract opportunity is designed for a skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) ready to support children’s communication development within a school setting. Located in Charlotte, NC, this role offers the chance to work with diverse age groups, from PreK to elementary students, within a supportive educational environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to PreK and elementary-aged students either itinerantly or within the school setting
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based therapy strategies
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings
- Adapt therapy techniques utilizing teletherapy methods as needed
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California Speech Language Pathologist License required
- Experience in school-based SLP services strongly preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage caseload effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with pediatric speech and language disorders and effective intervention techniques
Position Details:
- Location: Charlotte, NC area (Gastonia, NC 28053)
- Contract position with a 40-hour workweek and 5 days per week schedule
- Opportunities available to work either itinerantly with PreK students or with an elementary school caseload
- Open to travel contracts, including untaxed stipends for travel expenses
