A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the remainder of the current school year in Charleston, SC, serving K-12 students. This contract role covers two assignments: initially providing services at an elementary school during a medical leave, then transitioning to another elementary school to cover maternity leave until the end of the school year. The position requires working Monday through Friday with a focus on general education, resource students, and support for Low Incidence and low incidence/autism programs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech-language therapy services tailored to the needs of students across general education, resource, and specialized programs
- Conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and monitoring student progress
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to support student communication goals
- Maintaining accurate documentation and complying with all state and federal regulations
Qualifications and experience:
- Active South Carolina state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC required; no CFs or SLPAs)
- Experience working with K-12 students in school settings preferred
- Ability to manage caseloads including Low Incidence and Autism Spectrum Disorder programs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Initially assigned to an elementary school in Charleston, SC
- Subsequent assignment at an elementary school in West Ashley, Charleston, SC
