Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students as a certified Speech Language Pathologist. This in-person assignment begins November 9 and runs through mid-January, with the potential to extend through the end of April. You’ll be providing FMLA coverage to fulfill an essential role across school environments, ensuring continuity of high-quality speech-language services for students.
You’ll split your week between two days with preschoolers and the remainder supporting students—primarily those on the autism spectrum—focusing on pragmatic language development. With a total caseload of 42 diverse learners and a supportive school setting, your skills will make a significant impact within the community. This is a full-time, 5-days-per-week, 40-hour role, allowing you to immerse yourself in meaningful educational work.
Skills & Experience Sought:
- Certified Speech Language Pathologist with a valid state license
- Arizona Department of Education (ADE) Certificate and IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card highly preferred
- Background in school-based settings, ideally with experience in both preschool and students on the autism spectrum
- Skilled in assessment, treatment planning, and direct intervention for speech/language needs
- Strong communication skills with students, teachers, and parents
- Ability to adapt to varying caseloads and educational environments
