Speech Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF) | Chesapeake, Virginia
Seeking skilled Speech-Language Pathologists for a full-semester contract serving K-12 schools in Chesapeake, VA, as well as Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Virginia Beach. This opportunity is ideal for candidates pursuing a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or with school-based SLP experience. Travel to multiple school sites within the district will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a K-12 caseload, providing direct speech and language therapy to students.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and consultations with educators and families.
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
- Maintain detailed and compliant documentation for each student served.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Preference given to candidates with experience or currently completing their CFY in a school setting.
- Ability to travel to various school locations within the district.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of IDEA and special education regulations.
