This school-based opportunity is designed for Clinical Fellows seeking strong supervision, professional growth, and hands-on experience supporting students in an educational setting.
Position Overview:
- Full-time, school-based contract role
- Location: Fort Myers, Florida
- Assignment for the upcoming school year
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Eligibility for Clinical Fellowship status under ASHA guidelines
- Valid Florida teacher certification and/or active Florida Department of Health (DOH) Speech-Language Pathologist license (as applicable to role requirements)
- Compliance with all Florida state and local district regulations
- Successful completion of background check and fingerprinting
- Strong interest in working with special education students and families preferred
Typical Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a certified SLP
- Assist with speech and language evaluations and screenings
- Implement treatment plans and support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver individual and small group therapy sessions
- Collect and document student progress data accurately
- Collaborate with supervising SLP, teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support planning
- Follow clinical fellowship supervision requirements and engage in ongoing professional development
