Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Active New Mexico state (NMRLD) license or eligibility by your start date
- New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) license (applications with NMPED in pending status are welcome)
- Experience or strong interest in school-based, pediatric, or clinical fellowship (CFY) settings
- Effective communication skills and collaborative approach within multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ethical standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for students, tailoring interventions to individual needs
- Create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), maintaining thorough documentation and progress notes
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student goals within an inclusive educational framework
- Participate in IEP meetings, team consultations, and professional development activities
- Caseload preferences and age groups can be discussed during the interview process to ensure the best fit for your skills and interests
