Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Carrollton, Missouri
A maternity leave contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) at an early childhood school in Carrollton, MO. This position starts mid-March and continues through the end of the school year (EOSY). The role is ideal for professionals licensed in school or healthcare settings, including SLPs completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or experienced SLPAs who might provide support under supervision.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an SLP or SLPA
- Experience or interest in early childhood or pediatric caseloads
- Comfort working in educational or healthcare environments
- Ability to provide or receive supervision (required for SLPA candidates)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 32 early childhood students
- Deliver speech-language services tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with staff and families to support student progress
- Utilize available support from on-site SLPA staff
- Maintain appropriate documentation and follow applicable guidelines
Work Schedule and Location:
- Based in Carrollton, MO
- Four days per week, with a possible half-day on Wednesday
- 6.5-hour workdays
