A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Carlsbad, CA. This position is ideal for a dedicated professional aiming to provide impactful speech and language services throughout the current school year (CSY).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify students’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct therapy services to students across various grade levels, addressing articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational team members to support student progress and integrate strategies into the classroom environment.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress reports and IEP updates in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insight to support student goals and accommodations.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist license.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and school staff.
- Knowledge of special education laws, procedures, and documentation requirements.
