A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Fort Myers, FL, supporting local schools on a contract basis from August 11, 2026, through May 27, 2027. This role offers the possibility of part-time hours and requires working on-site only.
Assigned schools may include a variety of elementary, middle, and high schools throughout the area, such as Allen Park, Colonial Elementary, Dunbar High School, East Lee High School, Gateway High School, Hancock Creek Elementary, and more. Caseloads will vary by location and will involve supporting students across different age groups.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing speech and language therapy services to students in school settings
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals to support student communication needs
- Maintaining accurate records and progress reports
Qualifications and requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Florida teacher certification and/or active Florida Department of Health SLP license
- Completion of fingerprinting as per Florida clearance procedures (previous clearance within Florida may be transferable)
- Certification as an SLP-CCC or SLP-CF credentials preferred
This role requires full-time availability up to 37.5 hours per week, with some flexibility for part-time. On-site presence is mandatory.
This position offers a competitive pay scale based on experience:
- $39-$42 per hour for 0-2 years of experience
- $42-$45 per hour for 3-5 years of experience
- $45-$48 per hour for 6-9 years of experience
- $48-$51 per hour for 10+ years of experience
