This full-time, in-person opportunity is a contract role and will have you working across two buildings, engaging with students who receive instruction in general education settings. You'll be part of a knowledgeable and supportive SLP team that meets regularly to share strategies, insights, and resources, ensuring every student and clinician receives optimal support.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
- Michigan SLP licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience supporting pediatric populations in school or healthcare environments
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work seamlessly with education teams
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and inclusive service delivery
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy to K-12 students in a general education environment
- Conduct assessments, develop IEPs, and track student progress
- Deliver direct and consultative services to meet individualized learning goals
- Communicate regularly with teachers, families, and school staff
- Advocate for students’ needs and participate in team meetings, including monthly SLP professional learning team (PLT) sessions
- Travel between two buildings as required during school day hours: 7:45 AM – 3:15 PM
