Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Canton, MI
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students’ communication growth as a Speech-Language Pathologist on a flexible contract basis. This assignment starts as soon as possible and may extend into the fall, providing you with stability and professional development in a dynamic school setting located near Canton, MI.
This position offers both full-time and part-time options, accommodating your schedule with 4 to 5 days per week and approximately 30 hours weekly. You'll serve a manageable caseload of about 52 students, enabling you to make a real impact while balancing your workload. Engage and collaborate with educators, families, and fellow specialists to support students’ individual needs and help them achieve their fullest potential.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) encouraged
- Clinical Fellow (CFY) applicants welcome
- Experience or strong interest in pediatric school-based speech therapy
- Familiarity with IEP processes and goal setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy and evaluation services to pre-K through elementary-aged students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Write clear progress notes and maintain accurate student documentation
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and related service providers
- Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions
- Utilize evidence-based practices and data-driven interventions
