Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Camden, North Carolina
Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist supporting students near the Camden, NC area. Step into a dynamic school setting for the academic year, where you’ll have the chance to provide vital speech and language services to a diverse pediatric caseload. This full-time position consists of 37.5 hours per week, beginning August 12, 2026, and continuing through June 7, 2027.
This role places a strong focus on providing both direct and indirect services while ensuring that your professional time is valued—no extra duties like bus or parent pickup are required. If you're a traveler, stipends are available to make your experience even more comfortable.
Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) in Speech Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFY) are encouraged to apply
- Previous experience working with pediatric populations in an educational or school setting
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver diagnostic, direct, and consultative SLP services in accordance with student IEPs
- Conduct assessments and interpret results for students with communication disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Keep thorough documentation and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Provide therapy and support tailored to meet individual student needs
