Pediatric School-Based SLP | Boston, Massachusetts
A long-term substitute Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) role is available to provide direct services to early childhood students. This contract position runs from February 23 to April 17 and is focused on supporting PreK through 1st grade students, particularly those using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to PreK to 1st grade students.
- Implement individualized communication plans tailored to children using AAC devices.
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services and student progress.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities as needed.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology and current state licensure.
- Experience working in school settings with pediatric populations.
- Familiarity with AAC devices and strategies to support students using them.
- Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) completed or in progress preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with young children, families, and school staff.
Location:
- Position is based in Boston, MA, within an early childhood school setting.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:35 am to 3:00 pm during contract period.
