Pediatric School Speech Pathology | Cambridge, Massachusetts
A middle school is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to cover a contract position for the remainder of the school year due to a maternity leave beginning at the end of February or early March. This role requires an in-person therapist to provide services primarily to students in Grades 6-8.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to a diverse caseload including full inclusion and substantially separate settings.
- Collaborate with educational staff to support students' communication needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
- Participate in meetings related to student goals and progress as required.
Qualifications:
- Certification as an SLP or a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) level speech pathologist.
- Experience working with pediatric populations in a school setting.
- Knowledge of school-based speech therapy practices and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Preference for candidates with School SLP or School SLPA credentials.
Location and Hours:
- Position is located in Cambridge, MA at a middle school.
- Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
This contract role offers the opportunity to work directly with middle school students navigating varying educational environments, providing meaningful therapeutic interventions.
