This position offers a unique opportunity to provide specialized speech-language services within an elementary school setting in San Francisco, CA. The role focuses on delivering pre-K intake assessments and providing FMLA coverage for an existing Speech-Language Pathologist through June 3, 2026. Candidates will be working onsite full-time, supporting a diverse student population with specialized communication needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-K intake speech and language assessments.
- Provide direct services and support for students under FMLA coverage at Ortega Elementary.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reporting in compliance with school policies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid State Speech-Language Pathologist licensure from the Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA).
- Clear or professional Speech Services Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC); an educator credential is not required.
- Experience working with preschool and elementary-aged children in school settings.
- Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or bilingual skills are highly preferred.
- Candidates with Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) will be considered.
- Clinical Fellows (CFs) are not eligible for this position.
Location and Schedule:
- Position based onsite at an elementary school in San Francisco, California.
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Contract duration until June 3, 2026.
