A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available within a special education cooperative serving multiple school districts in the Flint Hills region of Kansas. This role involves working onsite across various locations within approximately an hour of Emporia, KS, providing essential speech therapy services to students with diverse communication needs.
Locations include:
- Emporia School District
- North Lyon County
- South Lyon County
- Chase County
- Madison
- Hamilton
- Morris County
This position can be tailored for full-time or part-time schedules, accommodating flexibility in hours while serving between 10-12 students per day or up to 50-55 students per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized speech-language assessments, diagnoses, and therapy to students.
- Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and families to develop and implement effective intervention plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state regulations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to support student success and inclusion.
Qualifications:
- Valid Kansas Speech-Language Pathology License (KS SLP License) required.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
- Experience working in school settings with pediatric populations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Flexibility to work within multiple districts in the cooperative.
