A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available within a special education cooperative serving multiple locations near Emporia, Kansas. This role offers flexible full-time or part-time hours and involves working directly onsite in various school districts within approximately one hour of Emporia.
Location:
Positions are open across several cooperating districts including Emporia, North Lyon County, South Lyon County, Chase County, Madison, Hamilton, and Morris County. Candidate location should be within reasonable commuting distance to any of these areas.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services to students within cooperative school districts
- Serve an average caseload of 10-12 students on shorter days, typically expanding to 50-55 students over a five-day week
- Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapeutic approaches as needed
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by the cooperative and state regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid Kansas SLP license
- Credentials as a Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP - CCC) preferred
- Experience working in school-based settings is highly desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and educators
- Ability to travel to various school locations within the cooperative

- This is a contract position with onsite work only
