Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with Self-Contained General Education Endorsement
- CDE license required
- Possession of a Substitute Teacher License or Short-Term Sub License
- Experience collaborating with teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
- Preferred: Background working with school-age students (not mandatory)
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver quality instruction to students with diverse cognitive, behavioral, and physical needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Partner with general education teachers to create inclusive learning settings
- Foster positive, productive relationships with students, families, and staff
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with special education regulations
