School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Staten Island, New York
A Special Education Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is available at a K-12 school located in Staten Island, NY. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments of students’ speech and language capabilities
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to monitor student progress
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of therapy sessions and student outcomes
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students across all grade levels K-12 in line with educational goals
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) credentials required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred
- Experience working in school environments with K-12 populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and educational teams
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to diverse student needs and learning levels
