A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide specialized services within a vibrant high school setting. This contract position spans the full 2025-2026 school year and begins as soon as possible. The role focuses on delivering individual speech therapy to a diverse group of students aged 14 to 21 with disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy (CP), and other genetic disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 speech-language pathology sessions focusing on individualized student goals
- Manage a caseload of approximately 14-21 students
- Provide a total of 55 therapy sessions per week
- Collaborate with educational staff to support students' communication needs
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLP certification/licensure to work in school settings
- Experience delivering speech-language services to students with developmental disabilities
- Ability to engage and motivate adolescents and young adults with diverse communication needs
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple sessions and documentation requirements
Work Schedule and Location:
- Located in New York, NY
- School hours from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, totaling 30 hours per week
- Full school year contract (2025-2026)
