School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Brighton, Colorado
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students in a dynamic educational environment. This contract position will cover a leave of absence from August 4 to May 21, 2027, and involves working at two high schools with a 0.6 FTE schedule (approximately 24 hours per week). Your weekly schedule will be determined collaboratively with school leadership.
Key Qualifications:
- Active or in-process CDE license required; applicants without this will not be considered
- Minimum of one year of direct classroom experience working as an SLP
- SLP-CCC credential is required; SLPA certifications are not accepted
- Strong background in school-based speech and language therapy
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and students
- Commitment to onsite service provision; remote or hybrid options are not available
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group speech and language therapy services to high school students
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans in accordance with IEP goals
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and participate in IEP meetings
- Consult with teachers and staff to support students’ academic and social success
- Communicate progress and strategies to parents and guardians professionally and compassionately
